A Look Inside Our First Content Collective Sessions in Salt Lake City
When I came up with the idea for the Content Collective, I hoped it would be helpful. I knew so many of my clients needed fresh content photos but didn’t always have the time or budget for a full individual session.
What’s worse is that even with an individual session, content creators QUICKLY run out of images and lack of variety.
I knew the Content Collective would solve this problem. What I didn’t expect was just how much I’d love the experience, or how quickly real relationships would form between people who hadn’t met before that day.
The first two sessions were a success in every way that mattered.
We got great photos. Everyone walked away with updated headshots, candid lifestyle content, and even a few behind-the-scenes moments.
But what stood out most? The way each session naturally turned into a mini-networking event.
We had a group made up of people from all different industries—tech consultants, a global marketing director, a color draper, the owner of a new coffee truck, a family history expert, an app developer, a restaurant owner, and more. There were solo entrepreneurs, professionals in leadership roles, and a few people just starting something new. And yet, it all flowed so naturally.
Each person had their own time in front of the camera, but we also leaned into the power of having a group together. We created moments with 2 - 4 people in the frame at once. And these shots felt real because the conversations and laughs were real.
One woman told me she hadn’t felt this excited about her business in a while. Another left the shoot with a few new leads - no joke!!
These sessions are designed for business owners, consultants, and any professional working intentionally on building a personal brand. This solves the problem of creating consistent content without the stress of figuring it all out alone. Think of it like a shared studio day, one with strategy, direction, and extras built in.
If you’re in Salt Lake or Utah County and want to join a future session, let’s make it happen!
